CEO Update – Friday 24 April 2020

Dear South Australian Hockey Community, On behalf of the Hockey SA Board & Management I wanted to take the time to provide all Players, Coaches, Umpires, Officials, Parents & supporters with an update in relation to South Australian Hockey. Firstly, I wanted to address some recent rumors, statements and messages which have been made by an unauthorised source with regards to Hockey SA, and their financial status.

Hockey SA COVID-19 Update

Hockey SA has been working closely with Hockey Australia, the SA Office of Sport and Recreation, other government agencies as well as comparable State Sporting Organisations to ensure an appropriate response by the sport and recreation sector.

COVID-19 Hockey South Australia Statement

The purpose of this communication is to provide an update about the following matters: U15 and U18 National Championships Men’s & Women’s National Masters Championships Current Hockey South Australia activities including the 2020 Winter Season, Country Championships & Zone Championships. 

Hockey Australia – coronavirus update 12 March 2020

Hockey Australia is monitoring daily the current situation in relation to coronavirus and is receiving regular updates from AIS and AOC Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr David Hughes, who is working closely with the Federal Department of Health

Women's Masters Trials

The 2020 Masters Women's National Championships will be held in Cairns, Queensland from Wednesday 1st of July - Sunday 12th July 2020.

2020 Hockey SA House Parent EOI

Hockey SA is currently seeking applications/ expression of interest for House Parents to travel and stay with the U15 Girls and Boys Groups. All Hockey SA under 13 and under 15 state hockey teams will be accompanied by enough adults (House Parents) to enable a safe environment for under age athletes to live in.

Jillaroos team named for first 2020 internationals

A 20-player Jillaroos team (Australia’s Junior Women’s Hockey Team) has been announced for four matches against Japan’s Junior Women’s Team to be played in Canberra in late February.

RevolutioniseSPORT Partners with Hockey Australia

As of January 1st 2020, Hockey Australia and all States and Territories will be using the same national database, revolutioniseSPORT. This move has aligned all states and territories to the same database which has not occurred since 2016. Hockey SA look forward to what revolutioniseSPORT can provide for the state and all of its members.
