Super League Update
Published Tue 22 Jun 2021
The 2021 Super League is a continuation of the High Performance initiative which was formed in 2018. It consists of two zone teams, selected from the local Premier League competition and nominated by Premier League Coaches. Teams participate in a five round competition, with the two teams playing in an aggregate style series until the final night.
As stated below in the rules, squads will be cut down to 20 players per group for part 2 of the 2021 Super League so this will be a competitive selection process.

- Western Pirates: Adelaide Hockey Club, Burnside Hockey Club, Grange Royals Hockey Club, Port Adelaide District Hockey Club

Please see major variations to the rules:

- Field Goal Conversion – After a Field Goal is Scored, the player who scored the field goal will have the opportunity to convert a 1v1 shootout to gain 1 x bonus goal.
- Squads will be cut down to 20 players total for part 2 of the Super League, the same squad size required for Hockey One
- All Teams (teams) will play against each other once and 10 points in total will be available for each match as follows:
- 1.1 - six points to the winner and zero points to the loser;
- 1.2 - two points to each team, in the event of a draw;
1.2.1 - a shoot-out will occur to determine the outright winner who is awarded a further two points;
-
