Participation Officers Positions 2022 Now Open
Published Fri 05 Nov 2021
Hockey SA are seeking new Participation Officers to work in our highly successful school’s roadshow program in February in 2022. Through the schools’ roadshows Hockey SA will:
- Send coaches into schools all across the state to deliver one off hockey sessions to school kids, providing them with their first experience in hockey
- The sessions will be delivered in a fun and safe environment and encourage participants to head to their local club and join in with Hookin2Hockey programs
- Participation Officers are hired on a casual capacity, so you can fit the clinics around your schedule
- Hockey SA partner coaches up so you will always be with another coach in the schools
- The large majority of our casual work takes place in February; however, we also have ongoing opportunities to deliver clinics in schools across the whole year
This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to gain experience in the sports or education industry, and as the bulk of the Schools Roadshow are outside of the university calendar.
Previous hockey coaching experience is not essential. An ability and passion to work with children is essential as a Participation Officer.
Complete training is provided with the role, along with the opportunities for further education in the junior participation space year-round.
