HOCKEY SA JOINS NEW LOOK LIVEHOCKEY.COM.AU AI-STREAMING PLATFORM

Hockey SA has teamed with digital media rights, data, and production company, Sportway, to facilitate the broadcast of hockey in South Australia. 

Sportway's state of the art, AI cameras have recently been installed on both pitches 1 and 2 at MATE Stadium. This technology is in line with that recently adopted by Hockey Australia for the National Championships.

In order to promote local hockey and allow greater coverage of our local competition, Hockey SA will be livestreaming all matches played on both pitch 1 and 2, commencing this weekend for round 1 of the Premier League and Metro competitions. Later this month, junior competition will also be added into the livestreaming platform. As the season progresses, livestreaming will also cover the upcoming State Country Championships and Zone Championships. This new technology is a huge bonus for all senior and junior grades, who have typically not had livestream coverage of any kind. 

For the first time in SA, all hockey finals, from juniors through to Premier League, will be livestreamed through the platform during the 2024 Finals Series. 

Access to the livestream will be available through either a monthly or yearly subscription - $8.80 (inc GST) for a monthly pass or $66.00 (inc GST) for a season pass.

This AI technology is a significant leap forward in sports broadcasting innovation, and one that we’re pleased to be rolling out for local hockey here in South Australia. 

The very first matches will get underway on sa.livehockey.com.au from 12:00 midday this Saturday 6th April.
