Board Update - Thursday 30 April 2020

The Board of Hockey SA (HSA) continue to meet on a fortnightly basis as we navigate our way through the COVID-19 situation. The HSA Board met on 27 April via video conferencing and would like to provide the SA Hockey Community the following update:
- HSA remains solvent and we continue to manage and monitor HSA cash flow, assets and liabilities.
- We continue to focus on community hockey and plan for scenarios to return to play in 2020. Including a 2 month, 3 month competition as well as options for no competition in 2020. The Board’s approach continues to be to find the best possible solution for hockey taking into account the health and wellbeing of our members and also closely following the advice of the relevant Health authorities and the Office of Recreation, Sport and Racing (ORSR).
- An Annual General meeting (AGM) date has been set for Wednesday 22 July 2020.
- We also look to 2021 and beyond with work starting on the metro competition and the development of a new strategic plan for 2021 to 2024.
- The Board would like to acknowledge and thank the SA Management team and staff for the outstanding commitment and dedication to HSA and the SA Hockey community during this difficult time.
