HSA is pleased to announce the upcoming Goal Keeper Specialist Skills Camps on Saturday, November 14th.
These Camps will be designed to promote & develop the GK specialist skills.
The sessions will be conducted by HSA High-Performance Staff, specialist GK Coach Jaimie Holland and a range of in training GK Coaches who are completing their assessment for their GK L1 Coach Course.
Please note, these sessions will be predominantly technical skill-focused, but will also incoorportae the development of decsion making and game understanding.
Below are the targetted specialist skills for Goal Keepers:
Saving & Clearing
- Open and Closed Feet saves
- Left hand Glove Saves
- Stick Saves
-Leg and Body Saves
Defensive Penalty Corners:
- Stance
- Pre-shot preparation
- Lying down
- Deflections
- 2nd Save
Other Skills:
- Diving
- Sliding
- 1v1 & Penalty Strokes
